Intake session $325

At your first meeting you will help Dr. Nieuwenhuizen understand your context and experience. He will want to get to know you, collect background information and agree on therapeutic goals.

Psychological screeners/assessments are sometimes helpful in gaining clarity about your psychological makeup and may be used. Results will of course be discussed together, and the subsequent focus of treatment is always a collaborative effort.  

Standard rate $275 (1hr)

Sessions often start out weekly and then change to bi-weekly or an alternate agreed upon schedule. Standard session will focus on exploring your current experiences against the backdrop of past influences, identify recurring patterns, consider helpful strategies and track progress.

Payment Process & Assistance

You will receive superbills for your payments. These invoices include diagnostic and billing codes, allowing you to submit claims directly to your insurance. You can claim out-of-network reimbursement from your insurance.
